Description
Position Summary
The Credentialing Assistant provides support and assistance to the Credentialing Specialist with all day to day activities in the credentialing of all LCHC Licenses Independent Practitioners (LIP) and other licensed or certified health care practitioners.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining data entry in credentialing software.
  •  
  • Responsible for processing and/or explaining credentialing and privileging forms to LIPs and other licensed or certified health care professionals.
  •  
  • Responsible for answering phones, faxing, scanning, etc. as needed.
  •  
  • Responsible for entering data for all online Credentialing or Recredentiliaing forms (i.e. CAOH) for LCHC providers for HMO's, hospitals, and agencies.
  •  
  • Responsible for initiating primary source verifications (PSV)
  •  
  • Responsible for auditing and maintaining Provider Personnel files
  •  
  • Responsible for providing support and assistance with the Medical Student Rotation program and other rotation or medical/dental/optometry student programs.
  •  
  • Responsible for assisting in the enrollment and termination of providers for provider clincial accesses (i.e. IRIS, Meditech, ACL, i-Care, etc.).
  •  
  • Responsible for assisting processing and maintaining accurate records for all provider CME hours and expenses.
  •  
  • Responsible for performing other duties as required to assist the credentilaing specialist in accomplishing projects and tasks.

Required Skills or Abilities

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately.
  • Requires experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a multicultural, fast paced setting.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of health care professionals.
  • Clerical skills acquired either through experience or through academic training.Excellent guest relation skills.
  •  
Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration
High School Diploma and one (1) or more years performing office related duties
Baccalaureate degree a plus.
